Why wasn't Leif even considered for athlete of the year at BYU. He was 2nd in shotput and 2nd in the discus in rain. He took most points of any BYU track athlete. It has never before happened at BYU in throwing.He had 64.46m in discus which ranked him 32nd in the world at the end of the year. Miles Batty choked and took 7th. He broke the NCAA indoor mile record which translates to a 1500m time that would have ranked him 37th in the world. Where is the logic?
