The ncaa season is over and the blog probably won't be updated that much. I (leif) will be in sweden competing a lot of the summer...if you want to follow me or my bro nik's competitions this summer you can find us on facebook...just look up the arrhenius brothers. otherwise I think this will be the last post until the school year starts.....for those of you that follow us regularly, be sure to come back next school year as another great track season starts!

Arrhenius Named MWC Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year

June 16, 2011 -- BYU senior Leif Arrhenius and TCU senior Jessica Young have been selected as the 2011 Mountain West Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Year, respectively.

A product of Orem, Utah, Arrhenius came close to capturing the men's discus and shot put titles, respectively, at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, last week। In the discus throw, Arrhenius finished in second place and was recognized as a first-team All-American after recording a mark of 201'-3.00" (61.36m) in the event. He also garnered first-team All-America accolades in the shot put, earning runner-up honors with a throw of 63'-6.75" (19.37m).
